Fire-rated glazed windows
Fire-rated glass windows are fixed glazed systems for fire-separation boundaries. They retain daylight and views while the performance of the complete window assembly is checked against project requirements.

Application and care
External façades, stairwell windows and fire-compartment boundaries. Glass, framing and perimeter seals are selected as one assembly to retain daylight and visibility while meeting the stated fire performance.
Protect glass edges, corners and finishes from impact and abrasion. Store upright at a slight inclination on non-abrasive racks in dry conditions, following the selected system’s handling and installation instructions.
Drawings are catalogue construction illustrations. Their dimensions and components describe the shown arrangement; project installation follows the approved system detail.
Options to discuss
Discuss panel arrangement and coated or metal finishes. Exterior windows also require assessment of UV exposure, rain, wind loading and weather conditions.
Choosing the right system
A fixed fire window does not provide access. A curtain wall has a different façade and structural coordination scope and needs its own assembly verification.
